Welcome back, Lord Snow! I do remember EmuNext from a few years back. Any plans to bring it back?

Nope, EmuNext is as dead it gets. :P

Welcome Hard Core Rikki, you will find tasty cookies on here compared to other places :)

Hi folks,

I'm Wesley. I've been on the VTE staff for a long time but time constraints and laziness has kept me from doing a lot lately. I'm currently 27 years old. My interests include anime, cartoons, video games, computers, and music. My interest in emulation is mostly practical in nature, rather than educational. i.e. I enjoy being able to run old or obscure games, and am too much of a dunderhead to learn to program them myself.

Hope to talk to you all.
Welcome to VTE!

well ohai thar guyses,

Anyways name is also my username (literally), been hanging around here and there, mostly around emucraze, and xtemu, figured I may as well join vtemulation and add that to my list of sites I should visit, I'm one of the main developers of PortableApps.com, head/lead/only developer of the XChat fork known as pchat and I'm also an administrator over at vba-m.com, currently I'm working on my own emulation site and getting that back up and running (name and url I won't disclose unless people are interested, I'm not really here to grab people, just not really a good thing to do especially since I just joined :P unless I get permission from Vince about my emulation site), another project I'm working on is my own snes emulator (which is more or less a side project that I work on when I'm not working on PChat or at PortableApps.com).

[Breathe]

any more questions on who I am anyone? :P

Hey zach, great to have you around here. Couldn't help but wonder that you mentioned you're working on a snes emu. What's the status of it?

well currently the video output and basic controls work quite well, (well video is still touch and go since the framerate is horribly high so I'll be needing to make a frame limiter to make it go normal speed) also right now there isn't any sound yet (working on it though).

Sounds interesting. Out of curiosity, what made you want to make a SNES emulator in particular?

Did you achieve very high frame rate with the interpreter itself? or are you using dynamic recompilation?

Sorry, last question.
